Jaipur holds a prominent position on world tourism map for its amazing history, culture and dexterity in different forms of art. According to a survey, international tourists have given above 7 stars for their travelling experience to the city and 96 per cent recommended to tour Pink City.

The construction work of Walled city started in 16th century following the principles of Indian Architecture. The Walled city was named “Pink City” after the visit Prince of Wales. The walls were coloured in terracotta on the occasion. The walled city comprises heritage buildings including Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Hawa Mahal that hold international tourist attraction. A number of festivals tell tale of its people and their rich culture. Some of the worth watching festivals are Gangaur Festival, Kite Festival, Teej Festival, Elephant Fair, Diwali Festival etc. Jaipur Literature festival is the new added attraction for many. Although the city has grown manifold, original planning was done within the walled city. Other attraction in the city includes Albert Hall, Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Jal Mahal Palace and etc.

The rulers of Jaipur were connoisseur of art work and promoted artisans of different communities from India and even abroad. Today, the city is hub of various art format including Bandhani, block printing, sculpture, miniature art form, gems and jewellery, pottery, zari and leather work etc. Some of the famous markets where one can shop and taste the delicacies are Bapu Bazaar, MI Road, LMB in Johari Bazaar etc.
