Vaishno Devi is arrival of Goddess Durga. She symbolizes sacred beauty. The glory of Vaishno Devi is at par. Devotees use to walk on long route to make wish to Goddess Vaishno Devi and she give her love to them as her sons/daughters and fulfills their wishes. Mata Vaishno Devi is set up in the form of three pinds of Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati.
Ardhkuwari Temple
The Ardhkuwari Temple lies in the mid of Vaishno Devi Yatra. Mata resided here for 9 months to hide from Bhairo Nath. When he found and chased her then she moved toward Bhavan. The yatra of Vaishno Devi is not prolific without visiting this Temple. Another name of Ardhkuwari Temple is Garbha Joon.
Ardhkuwari Story
Vaishno Devi took the human form as a girl in the house of Lord Ratnakar. Since childhood the girl was deeply engaged in gaining knowledge. She had realized that meditation would help her to achieve the goal of life. She had leaved her household comfort and went to the forest for meditation.
- Setting up of Ashram
Lord Rama also went to forest for émigré of fourteen years and thus met Vaishnavi. She had recognized that he was not an ordinary man but a living form of Lord Vishnu and thus asked him to get unite with himself so as to be a part of ultimate maker. Lord Rama had refused her for such a task and told her that after completing the émigré she would have to recognize him again and then he would merge her into himself. Then after the completion of émigré he again met Vaishnavi in the appearance of old man but she was unable to recognize him and then he convinced her that it was not the right time to get merged and the appropriate time would be in Kaliyug when he would take the appearance of Kalki. He directed him to establish ashram in the foot of Trikuta Hill and perform meditation so as to attain the high level of spiritualism for doing welfare of mankind. Then she did the same as directed by Lord Rama.
- Encounter with Bhairon Nath
A tantrik Guru Gorakh nath had viewed the conversation between Lord Rama and Vaishnavi and was curious to know whether she was able to gain the high level of spiritualism or not and thus he sent his pupil ‘Bhairon Nath' to find out the truth. ‘Bhairon Nath' saw her with bow and arrows, langoors andlion and had got attracted toward her and had started to tease her for getting married. A devotee of Mata-Sridhar had organized a Bhandara (community meal) within the ashram in which Bhairon Nath had also been invited. There are two arguments in this respect some people said that Bhairon Nath wanted to marry her and some said that Mata had refused to offer him Non-veg and wine in her ashram and in anger he had tried to grasp her but she would become invisible.He searched her a lot with his divine power but he was unable to find her.
Mata was hidden in the cave of ‘Ardhakumari’ for 9 months. She had done the meditation for Balaji to get power for fighting against Bhairon nath. After 9 Months Bhairon nath had found and chased her. Then she ran towards bhavan and with her divine powers had cut down his head on to the hill top. Thereafter he realized his mistake and apologizes to Mata. Mata had put mercy on him and give hera boon that after having Darshan of Mata a devotee should have the darshan of Bhairon Nath then only the yatra would considered to be completed. Mata had abandoned her living appearance and get converted into the rock and thus got merged herself in the spirit of meditation.
Thus this story is an example of true devotion and spiritualism which can be attained by the power of inner soul.
