Vaidyanath Jyotirlinga Temple
Another name of Vaidyanath Jyotirlinga Temple is Baidyanath dham and Baba dham. It occupies a place among the twelve Jyotirlingas. It finds its location in the Deoghar in the Santhal Parganas division of the state of Jharkhand (India). The glory of Jyotirlinga is at par. Jyotirlinga signifies the linga of light which is observed as a figurative form of stone tinctured with light’s cycle. This temple entails the main shrine of Baba Baidyanath at which Jyotirlingam is placed along with 21 other temple. This temple is fully devoted to Lord Shiva. It is an ancient shrine of India. The environment within the temple premises is peaceful. It is a belief devotees has got opulence and hale and hearty life in return of the prayer offered by them in this shrine. One can reach Vaidyanath Jyotirlinga Temple by mean of three modes: road, rail and air. There is a good bus network which connects the shrine to many other cities. The closest railway station is Jasidih Railway Station from which taxi can be hired to reach the shrine. The closest airport is Patna Airport from which taxi or bus can be hired to reach the target.

The arrangement of security is good in this temple. CCTV cameras are installed within the temple so as to keep a keen eye on each and every activity of devotee. Yatri should keep their luggage at safe and secure place. They should not carry cash and ornaments with them.
When To Visit
The best time to visit the shrine is in between the month of October and March. It is opened all the days of the week. The timings of this shrine are 4:00 AM to 4:00 PM and 6:45 PM to 9:00 PM. The duration for visiting the temple is 1 to 2 hours.
What To See And Do
The walls which envelopes the temple is made up of stone. It consists of pyramidal tower whose height is 72 feet. The lingham placed within the main shrine is 5 inches in diameter and 4 inches long. The top of the Lingham is uneven. There are two porches within the main shrine. First porch covers the lingham and the second porch consists of pillars and an idol of Nandi which is placed at the right of lingham and is made up of sandstone. The devotees are welcomed at the entrance of the temple by holy bells. The water and milk is offered to the god and pedas are distributed as Prasad.
