Long ago, Maheshbhai and his wife Kokilaben lived happily but the husband’s nature was not good and due to this they face some problems in their business and as the time passes away their situation became miserable and very bad. One day, an old saint came to their home and said the lady, you should observe the fast of Sai Baba and all your problems will be cured. He told her the vidhi and lady follow the same and on the last day of her vrat, she found that her problems were resolved and she convey the same to others also by which their problems also gets resolved. Thus, the puja of Sai baba started by people to fulfil their wishes.

Sai Baba puja has a great significance in our lives as people worship and observe fast for him in order to get their wishes fulfilled. Its history said that if you observe fast of Sai baba and worship him with great devotion, he will fulfil all your dreams.

What is the vidhi (method) of worship?
Puja of Sai Baba can be done either in morning or in the evening, it begins by keeping Vrat for 9 Thursdays. During Vrat, individual can have a meal once in a day or without eating anything. Puja can be done either at the temple of Sai Baba or at the devotees home.
To perform the puja, first keep a yellow coloured cloth and put idol or photo of Sai Baba on it. Clean the photo or idol and light the diya in front of the same. Then apply Red tikka by Kumkumon his forehead and offer yellow flowers to him. Next offer sweets or fruits as Prasad to him. After this, read the story book of Sai Baba and sung the Aarti. Then tell your wish to Baba and distribute his Prasad to our family members, friends and relatives. On the last Thursday, give the food to the five poor people and distribute the book of SaiVrat no. 5,11, or 21 to people.
