Choolgiri Temple
Jaipur- the capital of royalty, headquarters of purity of customs and tradition of the state Rajasthan. Jaipur is not only entitled for the great monuments and forts but also recognized an appellation with the diverse culture which engage the radiant and ravishing sanctuary in the region. With diverse religions at one place, Jaipur has found to be the region of cathedral of every essence and sort. One such symbol prevailing the diversified religious culture of Jaipur is choolgiri jain temple surmounted on the Aravali hills of Jaipur- Agra road.
Year 1953 is entitled as the origination of the Jain temple on the hills of aravali. Jain Acharya Shri Desh Bhoosan ji Maharaj chose the aravali hills for building the Jain temple and named the hills as ‘choolgiri’. Building the Jain temple in the aravali hills was the greatest challenge in front of Jain Acharya Ji, but as they say, nothing can be undone if the spirit is true.
The amazement of the temple showed up the in the year 1966 with 7 feet high statue of white stone of Lord Parshvnath which created a history in the pages of the state of Rajasthan. The second in the list of hysteria marble was the figure of Lord Mahaveer Swani and Lord Neminath made of the white stone followed by Chaubisi and Jain Yantras. During the revolution around the statue of the Lord Parshvnath, one can notice the statue of twenty four Tirthankars and four idols of holy feet of Lord Parshvnath. Keeping in mind that weather status of the city, a small water tank is made available to collect the rain water used in the worship and ablution process the deitees towards the Lord.During the Panch Kalyanak festival which was organised on May 1982, a marvellous statue of Lord Mahaveer Swami was founded with the height of 21 feet in the huge area of 75 by 65 feet. Along with th satus, a 65 feet long dome was developed to cover the statue. Later, in a cave of hill of 40 by 40 feet on the choolgiri hill, the figures of twenty four Tirthankars were made possible of height measuring 2.25 feet. The entire gallery in the cave was made by omplete white marble stone. The gallery constitutes the icons of Lord Aadinath, Lord Bharat, Lord Bahubali and goddess Jwalamalini and Chakreshwari in the middle of the separate hall.

The roof top of the Choolgiri Jain temple is embraced by the huge Jain Yantra of four feet embossed on a copper plate of 40 kg. The Jain yantra comprises of the six thousand 5 hundred sixty one columns, vowels, consonants, mantras, sawastik symbols followed by some other holy symbols. In the year 2002 April, few statues of jain Tirthankars were composed by the embrassement of precious and semi- precious stones.
The choolgiri Jain temple has earned a purity of Jain religion involving such outstanding and speechless art work. The idols, scriptures, figures and statues which are the pat of this temple has achieved a remarkable and unforgettable space in every deities and consider themselves as lucky to be the part of the same custom.
