Jaipur Rajasthan Culture

Jaipur is located within the Rajasthan region, which encompasses a broad area of Western Indian. Jaipur serves as its capital, and the state also includes a variety of natural features, including mountain ranges, Jain pilgrimage sites, Hindi temples and prominent National Parks.

The state itself emerged with the birth of modern Democratic Indian in 1949, and serves as a gathering point for countless cultures, including both Hindi, Muslim and Jaine traditions. Today, the ancient remains and modern designs of Rajasthan reflect these varied traditions, which is captured in some of Jaipur's most prominent cultural landmarks, such as Hawa Mahal.

While the majority of the geographic area is comprised of natural landmarks, such as the Aravalli mountains, which overlook the city, and the Thair Desert in its outskirts, Jaipur dominates the cultural life of the state.

The main districts in the State are influenced by federal politics, with influences both from BJP and the Indian National Congress. There are 33 districts in the State, each with its own unique views and cultures, united by a linked history. Rajasthan served as an ancient district, home to royal palaces, such as the Umaid Bhawan Palace, which represents the apex of local tradition.
