CLOTHING CUSTOMS IN JAIPUR
The vibrant and flamboyant culture of Jaipur, the majestic forts, the colorful market of the city is some attractions which attract visitors to the city. The clothing style of Jaipur is another trendy yet traditional style which is well appreciated by people. Jaipur flaunts its best of fabrics and apparels which are printed tailored in the city. The clothing customs in the city differ from person to person but all look so traditional and vibrant. The ethnic dressing style of Jaipur is very traditional, and people still follow the dressing customs, also the city has a huge market offering such apparels.
The city has some clothing patterns like the old traditional ghagra choli worn by the females and the dhoti kurta with a colorful turban worn by the males. The Rajput families still residing in the city sport some of the royal and traditional clothing like the Poshaak worn by the females. These clothing can also be seen in the city, people living in the city very gracefully carry their traditional apparels.

APPARELS
FEMALES
The females are usually seen wearing Saree (long cloth which is wrapped around the body), Suits (Baggy pants with long tunics), Ghaghara choli (the traditional Rajasthani dress) and the Poshaak (lehenga choli). These apparels are found in huge variety in the Jaipur market, with extensive fabric variety, with vibrant colors and a lot of mirror and embroidery work is done.
Saree- A long fabric (be any material cotton, silk, net), and different design patterns, these cloths are wrapped around the body in a typical manner. Usually women prefer wearing these Sarees. The saree differ in the patterns like for the casual wear, the party and festive wear etc. Zari worked saree and embroidered saree are some exclusive and special variety if the city.
Salwaar Suit- Usually a long tunic called as kurta and baggy pants known as pajama are worn, this is very common apparel among the women. A huge variety of suits can be seen in the markets, there are innumerable types of patterns and styles of Salwaar suits, these can be worn in parties, festive season, wedding casually etc.
Ghagra Choli- The traditional dress of Rajasthan, majorly the village women are seen wearing some colorful and vibrant long skirts with contrasting tops and an odhani. Usually these Ghaghara choli are of colorful patterns with mirror and embroidery work.
MALES
Males are usually seen wearing Pants/Jeans and Shirts/T-shirts. The traditional and royal clothing which is mostly sported during festival or wedding season are Kurta pajama or dhoti kurta.
Dhoti-Kurta- Dhoti, usually a white cotton cloth wrapped from between the legs and tucked on the waist, worn with a kurta and a colorful turban on head. Also the Rajputs use to wear the Angrakha, small jackets with the dhoti.
