Manipal University Jaipur Organized a Cultural Exchange Programme “Explore India 2018” for the Students Of Lancaster University, Uk

Manipal University Jaipur hosted students from Lancaster University, United Kingdom, on its campus as part of the second edition of Explore India- A Cultural Exchange initiative between MUJ and Lancaster University from September 02-September 08, 2018. A team of 18 delegates from various academic disciplines arrived to explore the diverse culture, colors, traditions, and flavors of Rajasthan. The team members Interacted with Chairperson MUJ, Prof. K. Ram Narayan, President, MUJ, Prof. G. K. Prabhu, Pro-President, Prof. N. N. Sharma, Registrar, Prof. Vandana Suhag, Director, International Programme, Prof. Amit Jain, Director, Admission, Prof. Richa Arora, Chief Administrative Officer, Col. Virender Yadav, Dean, Directors, Head of the departments, faculty and students.

The team visited the pride of India, the Taj Mahal and got enchanted by its architectural beauty. For two days, the delegates visited Mandawa & Nawalgarh and got the opportunity to visit Poddar Museum, various heritage buildings, hotels, and Havelis & the Mandawa Castle, etc. The team also provided access to Camel Safari, desert and folk culture of Rajasthan. They also learned the art of Block Printing at Bagru & Clay pottery at Nawalgarh and found the experience pretty interesting. They also visited Jaipur heritage like Amber Fort, Hawamahal, Jantar Manter and also enjoyed shopping expedition in the local markets. The team enjoyed every moment to its full and cordially thanked the MUJ Team for providing them such warm hospitality. According to the coordinator of this programme, Dr. Priyanka Chaudhary, Associate Professor, Department of Languages, the team also interacted with the MUJ dignitaries and students.
