Manipal University Jaipur BA LLB, first-year student Ms. Manini Kaushik Made World record
Ms. Manini Kaushik (student of BA LLB, first year), as a member of India’s women 10 mt. Air rifle team produced a charismatic performance for gold with a new world record in the team event of world 10 meters Air Rifle championship in 52nd International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) World Championship at Changwon, South Korea on Friday, September 07, 2018. This world championship is held once in four years and is considered to be equivalent to Olympics. Indian junior team comprising of Ms. Manini Kaushik, Ms. Shreya Agrawal and Ms. Elavenil Valarivan set the new World Record of 1880.7 points to win the Gold medal, and China bagged silver medal and Korea won the bronze medal. President, Prof. G. K. Prabhu, Pro-President, Prof. N. N. Sharma, Registrar, Prof. Vandana Suhag, Deans, Directors, HoDs and faculty members congratulated to her for her achievement.
Other significant achievements of Ms. Manini before this championship as under :
- National Champion in 2016
- Received Rising Star Award of the year 2017 from Chief Minister of Rajasthan
- Junior National Squad since past three years
- Among top 10 shooters in the senior category
- Won the bronze medal in the 10th Asian Airgun Championship held at Wako Saitama, Japan
- Masters cup national championship silver medalist in youth { under 19 } and junior { under 21 } category
- State champion since past three years
- Represented India in junior world cup held at Gabala, Azerbaijan in 2016
- National champion in Mixed Double event 2018
- Won as many as 40 medals[23 Gold,12 Silver and 5 Bronze] in which eight medals are at State level, 31 at National level and one at International level in past three years
Manini aim to become an Olympic Champion and do good in academics as well.
