The Mehrangarh Fort in Jopdhpur has accommodated several famous celebrations and fairs like the Rajasthan International Folk Festival & World Sufi Festival. Now, it will be commemorating one more festival which shall draw attention to the Gypsy expeditions. The 3 day music festival- “Jodhpur Flamenco and Gypsy (JFG) Festival” was conducted from March 13th to 15th, 2014. This brought the most excellent flamenco civilization to India and offered a chance for musicians from diverse Gypsy traditions.
Instigation and goal:
So as to commemorate the gypsy voyages, Mehrangarh Museum Trust commenced the foremost edition of the Jodhpur Flamenco & Gypsy Festival (JFGF) from March 13th 2014. Being hosted at the Mehrangarh Fort at the Jodhpur, this 3 day musical event was conducted with an aim of carrying the flamenco tradition to India.
