Jaipur Metro
Citizens of Jaipur and even people who ever lived in Jaipur are eagerly waiting for the Jaipur Metro project to get completed. It would be an altogether brand new experience for Jaipurites to travel in metro. It would be a great achievement towards being a metropolitan city and would also give the people of Jaipur a luxuries experience.
How this project came into existence? Well there is no exact clue of it. This is just a personal opinion that; during the regime of the BJP govt. they laid the foundation of Bus Rapid Transit Service (BRTS). Soon construction of the corridors got started and project came into full swing. In the next assembly elections the INC formed the govt. Justafter its formation; Jaipurites were blessed with the launch of Metro in the city.
Currently the project is in development stage. In the first phase the route which would be completed and get operational is from Mansarovar to Chandpole which covers a distance of approx 9.25 Km. The entire routes of the Jaipur Metro are classified as Green Line and Orange Line.
Jaipur Metro Lines
Green Line: This would connect Mansarovar to Badi Chaupar via Civil Lines and Chandpole. In Phase 1, the Jaipur Metro would run from Mansarovar to Chandpole.
Orange Line: The Second route of Jaipur metro would connect Sitapura Industrial Area to Ambabari in north via Ajmeri Gate and MI Road. The tracks would be elevated till Ajmeri Gate and then would go underground.
Expectations from Jaipur Metro
Apart from the heavy investments put on this project; it has also taken a few human lives in form of accidents caused during construction. It killed two men in an accident and in another accident a crane fall down on a car killing a business owner of the city. At this point the Jaipur Metro rail project received a lot of criticism over the construction security issue. Still we believe that there is always a ‘Happy Ending’ in every picture and same we expect from our Jaipur Metro.
