The inauguration of the “International Conference on Start-Up Ventures: Technological Development & Future Strategies (SV-TDFS 2018)” was marked by the lamp-lighting in the presence academic stalwarts like Prof. Bhim Singh (Dean Academics – IIT Delhi), Prof. Jamil Akhtar (Chief Scientist, CSIR-CEERI Pilani), Prof. Ajay Agarwal (Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR-CEERI Pilani), Prof. G.K.Prabhu (President- Manipal University Jaipur), Prof. Jagannath K. (Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Manipal University Jaipur), Prof. H.R. Kamath (Dean- Research & Innovation, Manipal University Jaipur), Prof. S.N. Sharan (Director- SEEC-Manipal University Jaipur), and other dignitaries.
Prof. Jamil Akhtar emphasized the importance of societally beneficial marketability of the Research & Development being carried out in laboratories of scientific and academic institutions.
Prof. Jagannath K. pointed out the opportunity for young engineers to utilize the forum for bolstering their confidence as an entrepreneur by discussing the networking capability, technical feasibility, and economic viability of their business models with the experts at this conference.
Prof. G.K. Prabhu deliberated the importance of Imagination, Ideas, Inspiration, Ideation, Innovation, and Incubation. He urged the students to focus on the cost-effectiveness of their innovation by collaborating with the experts (of various fields like Finance, HR, Legal Aid, Technology, etc.) at Atal Incubation Centre at Manipal University Jaipur – the only one of its kind in Rajasthan.
Prof. Bhim Singh, admitting the reasonable gap between engineering academics and final technological product, gave many inspiring real-time examples of how young entrepreneurs are bridging this gap by their sheer dedication to creating problem-solving products and platforms for the people of their motherland. He cited that innovation comes very easy when we focus on what is needed by the countrymen, for then the marketability of the product is quickly taken care of, without any extraneous endeavor. He said that if the young entrepreneurs can correlate with the need and problem-solving of their targeted customers, it will herald the growth of very sustainable and scalable economy.
The inaugural function was concluded with vote of thanks by Prof. S.N. Sharan who shared the conception of this unique initiative and urged everyone to utilize this excellent opportunity wholeheartedly.
Everyone unanimously congratulated Dr. Ashish Shrivastava, Dr. Himanshu Chaudhary, Dr. Kulwant Singh and their entire team for their pioneering effort of organizing this conference on an innovative and radical theme of start-up and technological entrepreneurship. In this two days conference, seven technical sessions are organizing. In these sessions 76 faculties and scholars presenting their research papers. In this conference, 250 delegates are participating from India and various other countries of the world.
