On Jan 06, 2018, the valedictory function of the DST-Govt. Of India sponsored 4th INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) camp held at Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) at 11:30 am. Prof Lalita Ledwani, the convener of the camp, presented a detailed report of various activities held beginning from inauguration to the last day of the camp. During the program, the winners of the essay writing competitions awarded prizes and certificates. The first prize winner was Saroj Kanwar of Jawahar Navoday Vidyalaya (JNV), Jalore. Chandraprakash of JNV Barmer got the second prize.
Nishu Jhakhar of JNV Sri Ganganagar and Suraj Sen of JNV Rajsamand won the third prize. The students and teachers of different schools shared their views about the camp during the program. Speaking at the program the Chancellor of MUJ, Prof. K Ramanarayan emphasized on two significant aspects of life; one was the importance of asking questions and the second was a reflection. He said that always ponder upon what you do. He gave examples of successful personalities like cricketer Sunil Gavaskar etc.
At the end Dean, Faculty of Science Prof G C Tikkiwal presented formal vote of thanks. The president Prof. Sandeep Sancheti, Pro-president Prof. N N Sharma, registrar Prof Vandana Suhag and Prof. B K Sharma former dean MUJ were also present during the program.
In this camp around 200 students from different schools of Rajasthan exposed to essential aspects of science via various activities like sky-watching, lab-training, and essay-writing-competitions, etc.
