Rajasthan Folk Music and Dance: Famous for Its Tradition & Rich Culture showcased through live performance for MEDIA NEXT Event
Jodhpur, June 6, 2020. The amazing Rajasthani Folk music and Dance live performances under” MARU MANI”-
Asocial Media Campaign through Zoom Webinar for MEDIA NEXT EVENT organized from Jodhpur on June 6, 2020.
Lok Samvad Sansthan, with support from The Rupayan Sansthan (Rajasthan institute of folklore), organized its first national performance through a zoom webinar (digital platform) due to COVID-19 with the group of 14 artists. School of Media Communication and Fashion, Adamas University, Kolkata, along with well-known media institutions and Universities, are organizing ten days Media Next Event -a University Certified Webinar from Kolkata.
The cultural fest was live on various Face book/ U Tube through a vocal recital of Langa children of Komal Kothai School of Folk Music, followed by Sakoor Khan Langa, who played instrumental music on Alogza and Morchange. Ms. Kusum Kachawah performed traditional Ghoomar' dances and other Rajasthani dances accompanied by Hayat Mohmed Langa, Safi Khan Langa, Sadam Khan Langa, and an entire children group led by Aslam, Irfan, etc. The cultural fest was curetted by Kuldeep Kothari, Secretary of Rupayan Sansthan. Mr.Kapil Mirdha conducted the program.
The campaign's objective is to create brand awareness and support these artists financially through digital channels, through community mobilization by creating a crowdfunding platform.
Lok Samvad Sansthan launched this campaign with the support from Rupayan Sansthan, Jodhpur, (Research Partner), Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, Dwarka (Delhi),( Social Media Campaign Partner), and UPES University, Dehradun as an academic partner Rupayan Sansthan, Jodhpur, Research Partner, Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, Dwarka (Delhi), Social Media Campaign Partner, and UPES University, Dehradun as an academic partner to address the needs and concerns of these traditional folk artists of desert districts of western Rajasthan.
