Aanganwadi centers were introduced for the betterment of children. Survey done by PUCL organization of nearly 350 Aanganwadi centers shows the conditions have worsen .The organization said 90 percent of the work is being done on the buildings of Aanganwadi Centers itself. Most centers do not have access to drinking water. Anganwadi centers were opened to prevent child malnutrition but are undernourished themselves. Survey shows almost 30 Anganwadi centers are closed and most of the workers were found absent.
