Shri Vallabhbhai M Patel, Chairman, Sarva Vidyalaya Kelvani Mandal, President, Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya and Chairman, Kadva Patidar Kelvani Uttejak Mandal has been appointed as Non-Official Independent Director, in Indian Railway Finance Corporation(IRFC), New Delhi a Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways by Honourable President of India with effect from 9th of November 2021. Indian Railway Finance Corporation is established in the year 1986 as a dedicated financing arm of Indian Railways for mobilizing funds from Indian and Overseas markets.
The primary objective of IRFC is to supplement the requirements of Indian Railways over and above the allocated Budgetary Resources. This is done by the company with the help of borrowings from the market at the most competitive rates and terms. In addition IRFC also helps in the creation of assets and then leasing them to Indian Railways to meet the demand of the nation. As a Non-Official Independent Director, Shri Vallabhbhai M Patel will be part of the Board of the Company and shall be a guiding factor in helping IRFC utilize its resources in a proper manner which will enable the Corporation to reach greater heights. He along with other members on the Board shall oversee the realization of a dream of “New India “in the 21st Century.
