Jaipur, 2 May 2021A Music for Hope and Happiness Series – Edition 2 was organized by Saptak-Society of Music Art and Culture. Its main aim is to spread the message of positivity and remaining optimistic about life through music to the people amid the present-day Corona crisis. Rajasthan's famous violinist Gulzar Hussain gave a message of peace and humanity through his compositions in this musical evening. At the outset Dr. Ruchi Rajesh Goswami, Director, SSMAC welcomed Gulzar Hussain. He started the program with Chhota Khayal's beautiful Bandish Tadpat Rain Bina Piya beautifying the Gayaki Ang in Teen Taal after the Alap Jod Jhala in the stunning evening Raga Marubihaag. The accompaniment on guitar by Bilal Hussain and Tabla by Mehraz Hussain gave a new flavor to the evening. He gave the message of world peace by presenting melodious compositions through Ragamala depicting aesthetics in experimenting with various Ragas. Hussain's violin playing is accompanied by proficiency in tantrakari, as well as the work of the fingers with the brilliant use of the bow. Gulzar Hussain introduced some innovations done in Ragas through his self-compositions. Hussain showed in-depth Riaz through his melodious and mature Violin Recital.

Teri Hai Zameen, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin, Ajeeb Daastan Hai Ye, Ek Pyaar ka Nagma Hai, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, Gulabi Aankhen, Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma captivated all music lovers sitting in the audience. On the demand of music lovers, he played songs like Ajeeb Daastan Hai, Ek Haseena Thi, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, Gulabi Aankhen, Mitava, and a Madley which became a song of the evening. Hussain paid tribute to well-known actor Rishi Kapoor through the song Darde Dil Darde Jigar. On this occasion, Gulzar said that classical music is the soul of our culture, it is very important to cherish it. Among the dignitaries, known artists from the music world graced the evening with their presence. Singers and instrumentalists from all over the country will perform in this musical journey -Hope and Happiness series, which runs till 30th June.
