Recently, Government has taken the issue of selling water from tankers of Department of Water seriously. Misusing public drinking water tankers has led to penalize the relevant contract firms with ten thousand rupees. Earlier, the fine was one thousand rupees. But due to increase in irregularity-related complains, the penalty-amount has been increased. It was decided in the review meeting conducted on drinking-water scheme at the Department of Water. The meeting which was conducted under the presidency of Minister of Department of Water. Dr. Jitendra Singh, decided to bring the 550 hand-pumps of rural areas into workable condition. The meeting also decided that Government will bear the electricity expenses incurred for boring funded by the legislators’ fund.
