The Annual Cultural Fest COSMOS (Stardust) Inaugurated
Three Day Fest Cosmos 2023 begins with Frills and Frolic at IIS Live Concert with Singer Stebin Ben on 17 February
IIS (deemed to be University) organized the Annual Cultural Fest – ‘COSMOS’ 2023 (Stardust) after a big corona gap from February 15th to 17th, 2023. The fest was an endeavour to bring out extraordinary talent among the students of the University. The most awaited
fest was inaugurated by Chancellor Dr. Ashok Gupta, with great pomp and show along with being witnessed of multiple cultural and literary events. The décor made the university infrastructure come alive, providing students with aesthetic backgrounds to take photographs.
Balloons with Cosmos poster were flown to mark the inauguration of the fest. Dr. Raakhi Gupta, Rector and Registrar, IIS (deemed to be University), Deans of all the various faculties, faculty members and students were also present in the inaugural. More than 150 students in the categories of inter and intra institutes showcased their talent in various competitions on day one. The motive behind this fest was to encourage students to explore all facets of their creative expressions and skills. Day one competitions included Creative Writing, Hand Painting, Solo/Duet Songs, Business Planathon, Nukkad Natak, and Fashion Styling were some of the attractions of the fest along with the stalls put up for eating and shopping in back lawns. This time COSMOS has been themed stardust, an ode to the talent and dedication of the students.
Cosmos is not only the spirit of competition but also celebrated the passion and artistry of its own scholars. Taking forward the legacy of innovation of our institution. Renowned Singer and Bollywood sensation Stebin Ben's concert will be a center of attraction on the 17th of
February 2023, is the last day of the fest.
Creative writing (English/Hindi)
Going beyond the bounds of normal journalistic and technical forms of literature, the students were advised to write on the random themes given on the spot. More than 50 students participated in both English and Hindi creative writing competition. The competition was judged by Anjila Singh Mehal and Dr.Neeru Jain.
With the purpose of bringing out creativity and spreading awareness about saving our environment and Mother Nature. The competition was judged by renowned artists RB Goutham and Narendra Singh Yadav. A total of 50 students took part in the competition on the themes- Nature, Wild Life and Scenery.
Total of 20 students in the Solo Song competition and 5 in the Duet songs competition Raga showcased their musical talent by presenting beautiful numbers in film and non-film categories. The judges for the competition were popular artists of Jaipur Dr Neera Jain and Gaurav Sharma.
The first time introduced intercollege competition helped the participants to come up with innovative ideas and critical thinking and become successful entrepreneurs. A total of 7 teams of students participated and shared their innovative business plans to excel in their endeavours.
Among the judges were Ms Payal Chaudhary and CA Vivek Gupta who appreciated the ideas of the students and blessed them.
A platform to showcase an element of dramatic instinct by throwing a strong message always helps the participants to build their confidence and enhance their communication skills. A total of 7 colleges from Jaipur portrayed themes like Women Empowerment, Gender equality, Mental Issues, and Sex Education in a captivating way in the intercollege Nukkad Natak competition. Richa
Bhargava judged the competition and appreciated the ideas and creativity and talent of the participants from various colleges in Jaipur.
The competition well-coordinated by the Fashion Designing department witnessed 12 groups of participants who showcased their styling talents portrayed through a stunning ramp walk. The judges for the same were Anuradha Sethia and Eshita Bakodia.
