Jaipur Art Festival

Hotel Diggi Palace in Jaipur had organized for the Jaipur Art Festival (JAF) during March 18th to March 22nd of 2013. This art festival Festival was instigated by the respectable Rajasthan Governor Ms Margaret Alva on March 18th, 2013. This festival was graced with the presence of a large congregation of artists, art connoisseurs, art lovers and media people. Ms Kiran Soni Gupta a well-known artist, and a Harvard Graduate who is also an associate of Indian Administrative Service (currently the Divisional Commissioner of Ajmer) is the notion originator of the Jaipur Art Festival.

Attendees:

More or less 130 skilled Artists from from different parts of the world attended this artistic festival. The contributing artists were from twenty two states of India and the participants also arrived from overseas such as, Romania, UK, Brazil, Portugal, Russia, Bangladesh, Nepal and so on.

Innovative Art methods:

New-fangled Art methods among eighteen Live Demonstrations of Phad, Miniature Art, Mandana, Calligraphy, Blue Pottery, Fresco, Mithila Painting, Wash Technique, Batik & Lac Bangle Making, Tie & Dye, Glass Painting , Teracotta, Enamel Art, Block Printing, Worli Art and Wood Carving were apprehended in the Jaipur Art Festival, 2013.

Enlightening Presentations:

Unique Art presentations were given by Justice RS Chauhan, Ms Leela Bordia and Ms Arpana Caur. Justice R S Chauhan gave an enlightening presentation on “Crossing Borders – Confluence & Departures in World of Art” on 20th of March. The presentation of Ms Arpana Caur focused on the subject of “A Painter's Journey” on March 18th, 2013. Ms Leela Bordia gave a presentation on “Jaipur Blue” (memento craft of Jaipur) on the 19th of March. Films on artist Amrita Shergill, Jamini Roy – “Portrait of a Painter” and on Binod Bihari Mukherjee “The Inner Eye” were also shown.

Exclusive and unique pieces of Arts & Crafts such as the Calligraphy and Blue Pottery were displayed. Exhibition & Sale of Artworks created in the festival was conducted between 21st and 24th March at the Sri Ram Darbar Hall, Hotel Diggi Palace. The JAF Art Exhibition was launched by Major General KJS Thind. The Photography Contest during JAF 2013 was conducted in Skilled & Amateur grouping. The subject of the contest was Jaipur ART Festival.

Art festival 2014:

After the successful triumph of Jaipur Literature Festival, the Diggi House Palace in Jaipur is organizing the 2nd edition of Jaipur Art Festival, beginning from 19th till 23nd March, 2014. This 5 day long festival will showcase globe’s famous artists who will figure their skilled art work. The venue for this art festival 2014 is Diggi Palace, Jaipur and the festival starts at 10 a.m. in the morning and goes till 6 p.m in the evening. This year’s art festival will reveal live demonstration session by famous artists from different parts of the globe. Live demonstration of the below mentioned art forms will be performed:
