A unique educational program through virtual screening of 2 minutes short films to create awareness on various social issues like girl child education, malnutrition, water, sanitization was organized

Jaipur-based media advocacy organization Lok Samvad Sansthan, with the support from UNICEF, collaborated with the Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC), launched a unique educational program through virtual screening of 2 minutes short films to create awareness on various social issues like girl child education, malnutrition, water, sanitization.
The preview of this three months audio-visual project on five thematic social issues was organized through a virtual presentation. The preview of these films was presented before an expert panel.
Despite the corona pandemic; all five groups consisting of 42 students from different parts of the country participated in this project. These five groups continuously worked with mentors and experts to finalize their films, were highly appreciated by the experts ‘for their content and presentation technique in a short period of two minutes.
These five short films were reviewed by experts from Shri Ankush Singh, Communication and Advocacy Specialist from UNICEF- Rajasthan, Prof Sajal Mukherjee- Director of APJ Institute of Mass Communication, Prof. K.B.kothari- Managing Trustee of Pratham, ), External mentor from industry Mr. Saurabh Dasgupta (former NCD, Innocean Worldwide), Prof Ashok Ogra- advisor (AIMC), Prof Sajal Mukherjee-Director of AIMC, Mentor Prog Pijush Dutta, Kalyan Singh Kothari- Secretary Lok Samvad Sansthan,Kuldeep Kothari- Secretary of Rupayan Sansthan and Desert museum of Arna Jharna, Jodhpur, Dr Jaya Shrivastava, Dr Rajeev K Panda, Prof Navin Gupta.
Five themes of the five groups led by Trisrotta Dutta, Shivangi Agarwal, Risha Sainee, khushgra Tomar, Anant Seth portrayed that Child abuse is a major problem in India, therefore, Mother must stay vigilant and ensure that the child does not fall into the hands of people who will harm him or her because it can cause irreversible trauma, another theme was about the relationship between a mother and a child, and how a family becomes the main pillar to fight or raise their voice against sexual exploitation and abuse, Team Edelman Infinity conceptualized how homemade food is important for team Ogilzie carved on their film how the girl children were deprived & hatred in this 21st Century where the world is making some earth-shattering progress, but women and girls are still not able to enjoy their rights across the world despite being guaranteed social justice, dignity, and gender equality as constitutional provisions by many countries
Team Wizin portrayed the story of water sanitation and hygiene.
The experts remarked that such a wonderful creation by five teams of AIMC is a great contribution to awareness on social issues.
