Chintpurni Devi Temple stands among the 7 major and 51 total Shakti Peethas in India. This temple is sited at Una district which is in Himachal Pradesh. The closest railway stations are Una Himachal (station code UHL), Hoshiarpur (station code HSX) and Amb Andaura (station code AADR). The closest airport is at Gaggal. After reaching Himachal Pradesh one can reach the shrine by hiring bus or taxi.

There is a good arrangement of security at the temple. There is a security check before entering the temple premises. CCTV cameras are installed within the shrine to visualize each and every activity of the devotee. Yatri should place their luggage at safe and secure place. They should not carry cash and ornaments with them.

When To Visit

The best time to visit the temple is during the month of August. It can be visited all the days of the week. The timings of the temple are 4:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The duration of visiting this temple is 1 to 2 hours.

The base material of the temple which has erected the temple is rocks. It consists of dome roof. The temple’ entrance is faced towards north. The front of the entrance is occupied by an old banyan tree. The other side of shrine’s entrance is occupied by deities of Lord Hanuman and Lord Ganesh. After passing through entrance a big brass bells is hung at the certain height. The presiding idol is in the form of stone which is positioned in the palanquin which is made up of white marble. The puja ceremony is performed by the priest of the temple. The west of the temple’s roof is occupied by the images of Hanuman and Bhairon. The south-west of the shrine entails additional rooms and verandahs which solves the purpose of devotees and preists during the celebration. There exists another banyan tree within the temple’s premises where the ceremony of mundane for children takes place. Kheer, sweets, halwa, coconut, patasha, dhwaja, chunni, flowers and ghee are offered to goddess and taken as prasad.
