‘Be a Job Creator instead of Job Seeker’: Prof. G. K. Prabhu.
Orientation Programme was organized at Manipal University Jaipur
“Learn in the classroom with joy and enjoy outside of the classroom with learnings,” said Prof. G. K. Prabhu, President, Manipal University Jaipur on the occasion of B. Tech student’s orientation program today. He said that control of students is not the keyword but engage them for better results. In this connection, he said that the students are the most important person in an educational institution. Prof Prabhu said parents and teachers should come on an academic platform, interact and work together for the betterment and bright future of the students. He announced to organize a “Curriculum Conclave” shortly in the university for the students. Prof. Prabhu also focused on academic excellence, research and experience-based learnings. During his address, he also thanked the founder of Manipal Education Group, Padma Shree, Dr. T. M. A. Pai, Padma Bhushan, Dr. Ramdas Pai, Chairman, MEMG, Dr. Ranjay Pai, Chairman MUJ, Prof. K. Ram Narayan for the establishment and development of Manipal Education Group and Manipal University Jaipur.
During the programme Registrar, Prof. Vandana Suhag gave a glimpse of the journey of Manipal Education Group. She also referred to the Vision, Mission, and values of Manipal University Jaipur. In her address, the Registrar gave information about the awards, ranking, infrastructure, facilities, students’ achievements, international collaborations, sports activities, placement and student council of Manipal University Jaipur.
Director, Admission, Prof. Richa Arora welcomed the students and parents. Prof. N. N. Sharma, Pro-President, gave details about the MUJ leadership. Dean Faculty Affairs and Pro-Vost, Prof. Awdhesh Kumar spoke about various scholarships. Dean, Faculty of Management and Commerce, Prof. Nilanjan Chattopadhyay expressed his views on training and placements. Director Student welfare, Prof. N. D. Mathur gave information about the student activities. Prof. Ashok Kumar, Additional Director Admission, proposed the vote of thanks. Professor Mridul Srivastav, Dean, Faculty of Arts & Law was also present on occasion.
