Manipal University Jaipur students Won 3rd position in Green-a-thon and awarded Rs 7.5 Lakh.

Green-a-thon A team of 3rd Year CCE, Manipal University Jaipur students, Avneesh Nolkha, Sarthak Agarwal, Virat Kumar has won the 3rd position in Green-a-thon organized by Government of Rajasthan as part of Digi-Fest at Bikaner (25-27 July). They have sanctioned a grant of Rs 7.5 Lakh to implement their project proposal. Prof. V. S. Dhaka, Head-CCE told that the title of the winning project is “Automatic Classification Method for Waste Segregation: An A.I. based approach to Solid Waste Segregation and Classification.” He told that Machine learning-based system that can segregate Municipality Solid Waste in various categories such as (Wood/Metal/Bio-Degradable/ Plastic etc.). This project can significantly reduce environmental degradation by enhancing recycling and reduced health Hazards. This project is in-line with Swachh Bharat Mission.
