The delegation of the 5th Common Review Mission set up the implementation of the plans understood by the Additional Chief Secretary
The delegation would understand and improve the issues in the implementation of the programs and schemes of rural development in the state. In-depth discussions held on Tuesday with the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Additional Chief Secretary, Mr. Rajeshwar Singh, who is in charge of various schemes.
Additional Chief Secretary Shri Rajeshwar Singh informed the team members about the status of various schemes related to rural development in the state, and due to the effective monitoring of the schemes, the common man benefited in large numbers.
Shri Singh informed that 29.42 crore man-days had been created against the labor budget of 25 crores under MNREGA in the state. Along with that, Prime Minister Housing Scheme (Rural), Rajivika, MP Adarsh Gram Yojana, Deendayal Upadhyaya Rural Skills Scheme, and National Significant progress registered in the social assistance program.
He hoped that the suggestions received from members related to public administration, public policy, and teaching would be beneficial and help in better implementation of the schemes.
The Central team consists of retired Indian Administrative Service officer Rameshwar Singh, Dr. Samik Shome, Professor Asha Kapoor Mehta, Bijoy Narayan Mishra, and Ms. Radhika Rastogi. From Wednesday, this team will go to Bhilwara, Jaisalmer districts, to observe the works of rural development schemes.
NREGA Commissioner Shri PC Kishan, Special Administration Secretary Shri KC Meena, Additional Commissioner, IGS Shri Vishram Meena, and officers in charge of various schemes were present in the meeting.
