A graduate (BA) with combination of Hindi Literature, English literature & Political Science, Dr. Mishra did his first post graduate (M.A.) degree in Political Science and second in Mass-communication & Journalism, where he received Gold Medal to his credit. He has Ph.D. from prestigious research institution South Asia Studies Centre, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur on contemporary issue of International Humanity i.e. Refugee Problem.
As HOD of Mass-Communication & Journalism at Seth GB Podar College, Nawalgarh & International College for Girls, Jaipur for over three years besides being visiting faculty in different educational institutes, Dr. Mishra guided hundreds of students in their Research projects and media assignments.
Dr. Mishra started his career with All India Radio in 2002. He has been regular talker/anchor since then. Besides, his association with leading media houses such as Rajasthan Patrika, and Etv gave him exposure in main stream journalism. His interviews and features are appreciated. He loves poetry and his many satires and special articles got published in prominent Daily News papers. He has contributed his scripts for popular program of Doordarshan Kendra, Jaipur Kanooni Salaah and compeered for the same.
Dr. Mishra’s interests also spread in the field of Social Work, Consumer Protection and Creative Writing. For almost two decades, he has been advocating the different social issues under the aegis of Parivartan Sansthan and conducted over 50 seminars on issues ranging from Consumer protection to Science Communication, Human Rights, RTI, Public Relations, Panchayati Raj, Media Ethics, Environment to Global Warming et al.
Apart from being adjudged as All India Best Debator (1997) and Best Student during his college and University days, he has cultivated the habit of winning awards and rewards for various reasons. His prominent achievements include State Youth Award given by than Governor of Rajasthan in 1998 for excellence in Consumer Protection constituted by Department of Food and Civil Supply, Government of Rajasthan and prestigious Baldeo Sahai Bhagwan Devi Jansampark Puraskar and Excellence Award for PR Education constituted by Public Relations Society of India, Jaipur Chapter and awarded by H.E. Governor of Rajasthan in 2004 and by Commissioner-DIPR, Govt. of Rajasthan in 2012 respectively. In 2013, Dr. Mishra was elected ‘Joint Secretary in PRSI, Rajasthan Chapter. Dr. Mishra represented State in Indo-Thai Public Relations Round Table Conference with a presentation on Heritage Tourism in Rajasthan- An Analysis of Government Initiatives which was conducted by Public Relations Society of India on the theme Communication Strategies for Travel and Tourism on 11-16 June, 2013 at Bangkok-Pattaya, Thailand.
