The first Yuva Sustainability Conference, titled “Sustainability Storytelling for Green India: A Movement to Empower Youth,” will be inaugurated by Shri Sanjay Sharma, Rajasthan Minister for Environment and Forest, on July 21, 2025, at Kanoria PG Mahila Mahavidyalaya in Jaipur.
This nationwide initiative, “Voices of Bharat: Yuva for Sustainability,” launched on World Environment Day (June 5, 2025), aims to empower youth aged 18-29 as Sustainability Champions by equipping them with storytelling skills to inspire climate action and public awareness through digital content.
Rajasthan Minister for Environment and Forest today released the campaign poster, extending his best wishes and describing the initiative as “an innovative and meaningful campaign for awareness and advocacy on environment, climate change, and sustainability.”
On this occasion, the first edition of the conference newsletter was also launched, outlining the upcoming events, workshops, and thematic sessions planned as part of the campaign.
The one day conference will be graced by Dr. Manju Baghmar, Minister of State for Women and Child Development, and Shri Rajendra Singh Ji, , as Guest of Honour- renowned water conservationist and Ramon Magsaysay Awardee alongwith Vice Chancellors and youth from various universities and colleges.
Kalyan Singh Kothari, Secretary of Lok Samvad Sansthan – implementing partner of the campaign, said that the national initiative, organised by “Voices of Bharat: Yuva for Sustainability”, aimed at nurturing young Sustainability Champions across India by equipping them with the skills of storytelling, environmental awareness, and digital advocacy.
Mr Kothari added that “At a time when climate change and environmental degradation threaten future generations, we believe youth must be at the forefront of sustainable change. Through this platform, we aim to equip them with the tools of storytelling.
