Rajasthan Farmers’ association has raised questions on Crop Insurance Plan of the state. President of the Commission said that the present Crop Insurance Plan is not beneficial to farmers. He dismisses the parameters of the plan and said that crop insurance considered base of taluka as a unit of crop. That’s why crops which get deteriorated because of low rainfall, cold wave caused by hail and crop waste can’t be accurately assessed. Panchayat should make units to benefit farmers with all the advantages of insurance plan.
