National Level XVI Patriotic solo song competition organized by NSS at IIS (Deemed to be University), Jaipur
September 24, 2021, Jaipur, The NSS unit of IIS (Deemed to be University), Jaipur organized the XVI National Level Inter-Institutional Patriotic Solo Song Competition through an online platform on Friday, September 24th, 2021. This year, the competition is a part of a series of events to celebrate “Azaadi ka Amrit Mahoutsav”. The competition is organized every year to provide a platform to the students with singing talent especially from a rural area of Rajasthan.
On the online mode, the participants were asked to send their videos while singing a patriotic song. Students from colleges all over Rajasthan participated in the competition with great enthusiasm. Ten entries from Assam were also received, as the institute is associated with Assam State under ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ programme of the government. The event was also live-streamed on the university’s YouTube channel. In total 51 entries were received for the competition. Under the expert judgment of Ms. Payal Acharya, a professional singer, and Ms. Seema Raj, all the entries were scrutinized and the winners were then declared.
- Swapnil Bora of Asian Institute of Nursing Education, Guwahati, Assam bagged the first prize,
- Shivani Dadhich of Jai Narayan Vyas University, Jodhpur stood second and
- Ritik Vaswani from St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur stood third in the competition.
- Consolation prizes were won by Dhavani Dadhich of IIS (Deemed to be University) and Yogender Ojha from Shree Madhov College, Ladnu, Rajasthan.
The event also commemorated NSS Day. Following a successful organization, cash prizes were distributed to the winners.
