Journey from Masters’s to PhD started at the rustic Kashmiri gates

PhD scholars-4

New Delhi, March 31st, 2022: On March 30th, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) hosted its 14th convocation on its campus.

The event was graced with the presence of Shri Anil Baijal, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Government of Delhi, Padma Shree Professor (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of GGSIPU, Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Shri Manish Sisodia, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi.

Pijush Dutta, an industry professional with 14+ years of experience decided to take the unique route by opting to pursue an academic degree despite being a flourishing Industry professional. Determined to pursue a degree from a private institution, he was inspired by his mentor Dr C P Singh to take admission in the first batch of the Ph.D. course at GGSIPU in the year 2015. After finishing his coursework in 2016, he started his Ph.D. research but tragedy struck when he lost his father in 2018. He started the research with new energy and dedication to finish his thesis. Clearing all the obstacles, he showed his mettle and obtained the title of Dr.

Special thanks to our Dean Professor (Dr.) Queeny Pradhan, Dr Anup Singh Beniwal, my supervisor Professor (Dr.) C P Singh, Dr Durgesh Tripathi, Dr Kulveen Trehan, Dr Sachin Bharti, Dr Sarvesh Tripathi, Dr P C Singh, Dr Ajay Kumar Chauhan, and all my fellow PhD scholars.

I would also like to thank my late father, my mother, my wife, my daughter, my relatives, my mentors, and all my students who have stood by me and have supported me throughout my journey.

Prof. (Dr) Pijust Dutta, Associate Professor & Programme Director, AIMC
