The inauguration ceremony of the new Cultural Centre of Maheshwari Public School, Jawahar Nagar, was held with grandeur and devotion, marking a significant step in nurturing creativity, skill, and well-being among students. The Hon’ble Minister of Culture and Tourism (Govt. of India), Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, graced the event. The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolising the dispelling of ignorance through the light of knowledge and culture. The school choir rendered a soulful invocation song, setting a serene and reverent tone for the proceedings. The Hon’ble Minister unveiled the inaugural plaque and officially opened the doors of the Cultural Centre.
The programme commenced in ‘Takshshila’, the school auditorium. The chief guest was given a floral welcome with a shawl, saafa, and memento, and he graced the occasion with his benign presence. The Chairman of ECMS, Sh. Kedar Mal Bhala gave a welcome address to the august gathering.
The Hon. Secretary of the School, CA Amit Gattani, offered an insightful briefing about the Cultural Centre, emphasising its aim to provide students with opportunities for skill development, creative exploration, and modern learning. He proudly introduced the new additions, including a spacious Activity Hall dedicated to skill-building and co-curricular engagement, a Cafeteria to promote social interaction and well-being, a meticulously curated Library that fosters a love for reading and research, State-of-the-art Computer Labs equipped with the latest educational technology and a newly inaugurated Pre-Primary Section ‘Mps Sanskriti’ tailored for foundational growth and development.
In his Keynote Address, the General Secretary (Education) Sh. Madhu Sudan Bihani commended the school’s progressive vision and highlighted the importance of integrating culture with education. He noted that the Cultural Centre will be a nurturing ground for talent, values, and innovation. The event featured a vibrant cultural program presented by the students.
The chief guest appreciated the school’s initiative, stating that such centres bridge tradition and modernity, and help shape a culturally grounded, progressive future generation.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks from the School Principal, Mr. Ashok Vaid, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, school management, staff, students, and all those who contributed to making the event a memorable success.
This landmark event marked not only the inauguration of a building but also the beginning of a transformative journey in education.
