It is celebrated in the month of September or in the early October. In Delhi, Phoolkwalon-ki-Sair is one of the important traditional festivals. This celebration is conducted in the ‘Mehrauli’. This traditional festival begins with a special music which is played with a traditional Indian musical instrument, Shehnai. Generally, the parade starts after the music is played. Global Mango festival : The international mango festival is held at the “Talkatora” stadium in Delhi. This unique festival is conducted in July month for about 2 days. In this special mango festival, around five hundred different assortments of delicious mangoes are exhibited on the show.
Religious Festivals
In Delhi, people celebrate a number of religious festivals. Some of the primary festivals are: Id-Ul-Fitr, Ram Navami, Maha Shivratri, Dusshera, Makar Sankranti and Guru Nanak Jayanti.
