Indian Railways Catering & Tourism Corporation’s New Year Gift for Jaipur Citizens
Indian Railways Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will soon operate an exclusive train to pilgrimages for the Jaipur inhabitants. This special pilgrimage train will take the devotees up to 5 Jyotirlingas in 3 states of India. This special pilgimage tour will begin from Jaipur on January 20th and will arrive back after ten days. The Indian Railways Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has scheduled the expedition of the train. The train will then arrive at Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh on 21st of January. At Ujjain, all the voyagers’ shall visit Mahakaleshwar. Subsequently, the train will arrive at a place called Dwarka in Gujarat on 22nd of January. Later after the night stay, they could visit the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga the following day. The pilgrims would visit the Somnath Jyotirlinga on 24th of January at Veraval. Then the train will run to Aurangabad on 25th of January and stopover at Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga on 26 of January. The train will then keep on moving to Nasik, where the voyagers would visit the very last pilgrimage Trayambkeshwar Jyotirlinga placed in Nasik. Finally, the train will arrive back to Jaipur on 29th of January.
Yogendra Singh Gurjar, the tourism manager of IRCTC declared that they have planned the tour as a package. The IRTC also has planned to offer breakfast, lunch, dinner as well as accommodation for all the passengers throughout the train trip. Around 5,500 INR will be collected as the charge per person. This cost consists of complete facilities at the time of the voyage.
In future, an exclusive train has also been planned to run to some of the south Indian pilgrimages starting from 1st of February. This special train will run to Reinungunta where travelers could visit Kanchi Kamakshi temple at Kanchipuram, Tirupati Balaji, Madurai Meenakshi Padmanabh temple at Thiruvananthapuram and Rameshwaram temple. Then the train is schduled to return back to Jaipur on 12th of February.

Modification in E-ticket system:
The lodging that is booked is not moveable and is applicable only if a traveler has booked an e-ticket in which he has used any of the required identity cards for transaction during his train journey.
Quota Tickets for Tatkal:
E-tickets for Tatkal can be booked a day ahead not including the travel date from the train starting train station and the prerequisite for mentioning ID proof during Tatkal e-ticket booking has been instigated. The travelers will have to enter their ID proof type and the specific number during booking. This can be used for voyage. All these information can be printed on the ERS/VRM and in the reservation map. In any case, 1 passenger whose identity card number is specified on e-ticket must travel. If none of voyagers whose identity card number is specified on e-ticket is travelling on the train, all the other passengers who booked on that e-ticket who travels in train, will be considered as travelling with no ticket and will be charged for that reason. There will be no refund on cancelling the authenticated Tatkal e-tickets. In general E-tickets Quota, there is no prerequisite for mentioning the ID proof during the general quota e-ticket booking.
