Barmer Refinery Construction is going to bring prosperity and jobs for the local people of Rajasthan. For the construction and operation of the refinery government is going to impart training and skills to the local people, for that Rajasthan Skills and Livelihoods Development Corporation (RSLDC), technical department and HPCL has jointly decided the course structure. The training will be given by state-run ITI and schemes launched by RSLDC.
HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited will be formed for that finance agreement and Joint Venture agreement will be signed by Government and HPCL. The government will be giving financial assistance of Rs. 3,376 Cr., annually to HPCL for 15 years.
Silver n Silver for the Barmer Farmers – Under Divisional Commissioner, Jodhpur and District Collector, Barmer, the government has formed the Rate Negotiation Committee to settle the issue of land acquisition and to hold talks with agitating farmers and reach at an amicable solution.
Barmer : The New Industries Hub
Barmer going to be Industries Hub. In the adjoining areas of refinery and petrochemical complex RICO is going to develop industries which is going to generate revenues equivalent to oil and crude ancillaries in the region. Senior official of RICO said “Four major hydrocarbons by products of crude – polyethylene, polypropylene, benzene and toluene – will facilitate various units and a vast variety of industries. We are expecting several ancillaries will come up in the periphery of 150 Km of the complex”.
